Find a fun neighborhood just southeast of downtown Salt Lake City when you search Liberty Wells homes. There are lots of houses built before the 1950s, many in a Victorian or Craftsman style. These have been carefully maintained, and lots are fully remodeled with hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and new HVAC systems. In the last few years, Liberty Wells real estate has expanded to include sleek modern townhouses built to meet the highest environmental standards. It’s an up and coming neighborhood that’s a great place to raise a family. Local public schools get great reviews from parents. The city boasts a number of excellent private and parochial schools, so families have many choices. There’s lots of public transportation options, so commuting into downtown is a piece of cake and so is getting around to local restaurants and shopping.
Liberty Park lends its name to the area and is the gathering place for people from Liberty Wells homes. The 80-acre park has playgrounds for kids, horseshoe pits, and areas for picnicking. There are also jogging paths, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. In addition, there is a pond with two islands. Visitors can see the rare and endangered species of birds at Tracy Aviary. If you want to learn more about the history of the neighborhood, plan to check out the folk museum in the Historic Chase Home, as well as Chase Mill, the oldest commercial building in the state. From early June through early October, head to the Liberty Park Market on Friday evenings from 4 p.m. until dusk. Purchase fresh local produce, and shop at the specialty vendors, too. Art in the Park is held the third Friday of every month the market is open and features the work of local artists.
