Those who call Holladay home have much pride in their community. Residents voted to incorporate in 1999 to ensure they had a say in local planning and zoning. The community found it very important to maintain a rural atmosphere, but to plan for growth and make improvements throughout the community. History, the downtown area, the arts, events, and activities bring residents together. The Holladay Arts Council stays busy promoting the arts and putting together such events as the Blue Moon Festival, the fine art show, and the summer concert series. The Historical Commission and Youth Council are also very active in the community.
Residents enjoy spending time outdoors in their beautiful city. The mountains are close by and there are several parks and trails to enjoy near Holladay real estate. Holladay City Park spans 6.6 acres and is often used for community celebrations, gatherings, sports games, practices, fitness classes, parties, and weddings. There is a gazebo/bandstand, restrooms, a playground, picnic pavilion, sports fields, and walking paths. Knudsen Park spans 7.5 acres and includes an outdoor classroom area, a hammock garden, playground, water playspace, and much more.
Find everything you need for your Holladay home nearby. Exciting things seem to be on the horizon in the city. Holladay Quarter is a planned mixed-use community that will be built in the old Cottonwood Mall area. This is a long time coming and will really be a big economic boost to Holladay. In addition to this area, plans are in the works to continue improvement on the quaint downtown area known as Holladay Village. There are ample amenities in town and job opportunities in Holladay, and there will certainly be more with all of the planned improvements. It is also a great community to live in and an easy commute to other places in the greater Salt Lake City Metropolitan area as well.
